Calisa Rhose presents ~ UnCover Monday in December

Hey-Ho Cover Oglers! December snuck up on me so I’m posting this a few days late, but that’s ok since it runs all month. 😀 Here’s Debember’s lovely art and the awesome authors and artists. It would be great if you leave a comment letting everyone know what you like (or don’t like) about them and maybe even check out a few author links to meet those behind the books. Or just say hi. 🙂

UnCover Mondays on The Ranch!!! This feature is only to highlight authors–not to sell books (though if you see one you want to buy I’m sure the authors won’t mind  ). Enjoy this weeks’ covers to ogle and explore. If there is one provided, you can follow the artist links by clicking each book cover that has an artist linked to learn more about the amazing creators of these beautiful covers. I think they deserve fair mention since they helped create the book! As always, click the author website links to find out more about them.

About Calisa Rhose

I'm a mother of three daughters and wife to a wonderful man of 35+ years. I'm also an avid seamstress, polymer clay artisan and die-hard crafter, always coming up with things to make with, and for, my six granddaughters and two grandsons. Check out my craft site when you have a moment. I'm also a small online business owner of Okie fLips on Etsy and Poshmark (eBay/Merkari coming soon), and I'm a published author of sensual romance. I write about stubborn men and women who don't take no for an answer, and there's always that golden HEA. Cowboys and first responders are my favorite contemporary heroes to write about. My light paranormal heroes are strong men ready to protect their women--not that they need protecting, since they are capable of caring for themselves.

  1. What a great list of books! So glad mine was included. Thank you! Now, I have so many new books to add to my TBR list, I may have to stop cleaning the house so I can read more. Darn. 😉

  2. I love covers! But I think my favorite is Sefton Manor. Meaning if they were all staring me in the face, I’d read that one off the shelf for the cover alone. Great concept Calisa!

  3. Three covers caught my eye: the first one: Sugar Plum Homecoming. Loved the illustration and, for me, Large Print is a draw. =) I think I’ve read a book about Whisper Falls earlier this year, so that drew me as well. I like reading those kinds of books. The second one that drew me was Where There Is a Will. The title is artfully displayed and I like the blurb. It’s a book I’d read. The third one is Voodoo Dreams. I love the profile of the masked face that sort of blends into the black background leading you to think of intrigue, and, of course, the title draws you. The “D” looks like a drop of blood at the bottom except that it’s gold…! Great post with the different covers,Calisa!

  4. They’re all well done and I find myself wavering between two favorites. “Voodoo Dreams” caught my attention with colors and simplicity. It emits the mood to coincide with the title. However, from a reader’s standpoint, I personally think tag lines are important on covers to make a reader want to crack the cover, especially if you’re not at “Nora Roberts” literary status. Just a one line hook. It tells a reader whether they’ll get a taste of romance, mystery, or fantasy, etc. “Lovers & Liars” caught me with title and blurb more so than actual cover art, and would be my first read because the tag line hooked me. Food for thought. Calisa, you are wonderful for sponsoring and helping promote your fellow colleagues. Someday, I hope to remember to submit mine!

  5. Voodoo Dreams has an awesome cover! The voodoo priest was kind of creepy too.

  6. Thanks for hosting this book, Calisa! It’s very much in tune with the times–voodoo in New Orleans? American Horror Story: Coven thinks it’s a great idea….why not me?
