Calisa Rhose presents ~ Hearts in Harmony by Gemma Brocato #coverreveal #preorder

Osiyo~
I can’t express how thrilled I am to have my Lyrical sister and friend, Gemma Brocato on the ranch today to share her super new book cover with us! It’s for book two, so you know what that means. Yep, more to follow! If I’m lucky Gemma will agree to let me showcase all as they publish. 🙂 So, here ya go,

Hearts In Harmony, Book 2 of the Five Senses Series
Coming May 5, 2014
From Lyrical Press, an imprint of Kensington Publishing Corp.HeartsinHarmonyBlurb
Sometimes life’s most simple melodies become songs of love. Pippa Sanders’ life is filled with songs of leaving, longing and loneliness. Since the death of her husband, her children have been her world. She’ll do anything to protect them, including encasing her heart in ice until they’re college age. She’s made a practice of shying away from any relationship that could break her heart when it ends. And it’s worked so far. Clay Mathers has made a temporary move to Granite Pointe, Massachusetts to help with his mother’s Christmas tree farm while she recovers from a stroke. Although his long-range plans don’t include staying in the small town, a little female companionship during his short residency would be welcome. While on duty as sentry against protestors at a military funeral, he finds Pippa visiting her husband’s grave, and begins a campaign to make her into a friend–with benefits. What starts as a simple affair evolves to something more, something that changes the soundtracks of both their lives…the beating of two hearts in harmony.

CONTENT WARNING: Contains strong language, hot sex and a spicy hero.

Gemma BrocatoAbout Gemma Brocato
Gemma’s favorite desk accessories for many years were a circular wooden token, better known as a “round tuit,” and a slip of paper from a fortune cookie proclaiming her a lover of words; some day she’d write a book. All it took was a transfer to the United Kingdom, the lovely English springtime, and a huge dose of homesickness to write her first novel. Once it was completed and sent off with a kiss, even the rejections addressed to ‘Dear Author’ were gratifying.
After returning to America, she spent a number of years as a copywriter, dedicating her skills to making insurance and the agents who sell them sound sexy. Eventually, her full-time job as a writer interfered with her desire to be a writer full-time and she left the world of financial products behind to pursue an avocation as a romance author.
Her gamble paid off when she was a 2012 Finalist in the prestigious Golden Pen contest for Romantic Suspense and she received contracts for her first and second book.

Round Tuit

Calisa’s Round Tuit

I have to input here that hubby actually made me a ‘round tuit’ for Christmas. :/ (shared here for Gemma’s benefit 😛 )

For those who may not know, you know those times when you have to get something done and just can’t seem to find the time. It gets put off over and over, but you keep telling yourself “I’ll get around to it.”

Well, this was his excuse at Christmas. He’d get around to it… We usually always end up waiting until the week of Christmas to shop and this last was the worst. Literally Christmas Eve was his rush time. I was not very happy because he’d told me he wasn’t getting me anything when I had actually done my shopping two weeks before this year. 🙂 Then he hands me a lovely gift…with this inside. Talk about mad? I think I went into red-haze stare for five full minutes. Then he grinned, and redeemed himself with a gorgeous silver necklace that I wore for the next week straight. LOL

Thank you for entertaining us with a beautiful cover, Gemma!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Good morning, Calisa. Thanks so much for helping me with this reveal. The cover has been putting a smile on my face for a while now and I’m so happy to share it with the world. Renee Rocco designed a little bit of happiness for me with this cover. I can’t wait to frame it and add it to my wall.
I love that you have a round tuit. I’m ashamed to admit one of my bosses gave it to me when I was late with a project deadline. I’m typically ahead of the game. I think he held onto that little disc of wood for a long time, waiting for his opportunity. He whistled as he walked away from my desk after dropping in my lap. Cheeky man!
    Thanks again.

    • I know that feeling and particular smile, Gemma. Even a year later I smile every. single. time. I look at my cover for Risk Factors. Honest Abe, I do!

How funny about your boss giving you the round tuit. 😆 I actually first heard of those little pieces of wood when I was 18 and selling magazines door-to-door. I went to one business in Tx. and they gave me a cylindrical one about 1/4″ diameter and on each end was ‘tuit’. I’m not positive, after all these years, but I think I still have that 2″ trinket somewhere. 🙂

Thanks for letting me help you show off this gorgeous cover!
